Why use a therapist when I can buy my own massage device?

There a many massage devices on the market nowadays that are accessible to horse owners 👍🏻

This is fantastic as it allows horse owners to treat their horses to the various types of Massage Therapy at any time, and I absolutely recommended treating your horse to regular use of any of these devices (bearing in mind contraindications to massage - you can learn more about these on my website or contact your therapist or vet for advice) 📞 💻

Ultimately these devices increase circulation and blood flow to the targeted area 🩸

This brings fresh blood, oxygen and nutrients to the targeted area, warms and softens the soft tissue, facilitates the removal of toxins from the area and brings a feeling of relaxation and well being to your horse whilst also promoting healing ✅

All very much in the best interests of your horse ♥️

What a generic massage device does not do is:

▪️ Consider your individual horse's posture

▪️ Consider your individual horse's biomechanics relating to that posture

▪️ Consider your horse's psychological state and constantly assess this during treatment

▪️ Adapt the treatment based on your horse's response at that time to touch, environment and other sensors

The device is also unable to:

▪️ Target specific areas for measured amount of time due to feel and response from your horse

▪️ Measure and note restrictions and mobilisation of your horse's individual muscle groups and advise on findings and how to improve them

▪️ Offer targeted aftercare based on findings during treatment

▪️ Offer progressive training advice based on findings during treatment

❗️So although these devices are fantastic and I often recommend them to my clients for use between treatments, nothing can beat the feel of the hands of a trained therapist and almost more importantly the individual, targeted after care your therapist can provide for your particular horse.

Trust me......no two cases are the same.

Your horse truly is an individual, just like you are! 🤗
