Keep your precious Golden Oldies in their prime with Equine Massage Therapy

I have been really lucky in the last few months to be invited to treat some beautiful retired and older horses ♥️

I love it when owners want to help keep their 'golden oldies' as comfortable and as mobile as possible in their retirement days, despite no longer being 'useful' as riding horses these guys have often given years of service to us and deserve the very best in their final years 🙏🏻

As your horse gets older and is no longer in regular work it is inevitable that their bodies will change.

These changes will include:

▪️ Reduction in muscle tone

▪️ Reduction in core strength and stability

▪️ Bony changes in the joints (arthritis) resulting in reduced mobility

▪️ Compensatory muscle restriction patterns

▪️ Altered posture

▪️ Reduced blood circulation

▪️ Reduced immune response

And more that I have not listed.

Equine Massage Therapy is a safe, non invasive way to help keep your retired horse or pony feeling more comfortable and mobile and assist in keeping their bodily systems working at their optimum ✅

During treatment I will:

▪️ Assess your horse's conformation

▪️ Assess your horse in motion

▪️ Palpate your horse's body with my hands and assess their muscle tone

▪️ Complete a full body maintenance massage, including gentle myofascial techniques

▪️ Carefully assess any soft tissue restrictions detected

▪️ Gently mobilise the neck, spine and limbs

▪️ Provide you with gentle massage techniques to continue between treatments

▪️Provide you with gentle mobilisation techniques to continue between treatments

♥️ Equine Massage Therapy is a very powerful tool

▪️ Relax & Repair Muscular Malfunctions
